BYTE: Before She Knew Me & Martha and Me

BYTE (BackYardTheatreEnsemble) is an independent company that produces

theatre dedicated to devised work touring nationally and internationally for

many years.

BEFORE SHE KNEW ME is a solo piece, dealing with memory, family, growing. The production culminates in a truly uplifting experience, showcasing the incredible strength of the human spirit in navigating profound challenges.

MARTHA AND ME is a piece dealing with memory, family, growing up and friendship. The piece is inspired by works from the German theatre canon, notably Wedekind, Büchner and Bruckner. the play unfolds like a postmodern tapestry—vivid, fluid, and deeply attuned to the heartbeat of modern girlhood
