The Bigger Picture

Presented in association with Offaly Traveller Movement

Opening Wednesday 29th May, 8pm

The Bigger Picture is a photographic project undertaken by Offaly Traveller Movement Youth Project with photographer Eva Donlon. The focus was to develop a series of photographs to challenge stereotypes, and to showcase the pictures to the wider community. Every photo taken features only members of the Traveller Community.

These photographs represent a diverse visual portrayal of young travellers, developed through workshops and photoshoots in a variety of local settings showing their individual personalities, interests, aspirations and qualities, allowing them to appear artistically in a positive manner, reflecting their realities and challenging negative views of Traveller culture.

The project was funded by the UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty Day Committee.

Runs until Saturday 6th July.
